iPhone Surpasses WinMo Market Share

iPhone OS 3.0FierceDeveloper is reporting that research firm comScore has released results from a recent study showing that Apple’s iPhone has finally surpassed Windows Mobile in market share in the United States.

According to the study, the iPhone has 8.97 million users in the U.S. while Windows Mobile-powered devices can be found the pockets of 7.13 million people. Both continue to lag behind Research in Motion’s Blackberry which registered almost 15 million American users.
